Stick to "zero" (as in sugar-free, not no sugar added) drinks. When my electrolytes are out of whack I drink a lot of powerade zero. Egg whites and lean fish and chicken is great for protein. If your electrolytes are in serious need of a boost, see a pharmacist. Most shelf electrolytes have sugar in them. Because you're diabetic, you want the ones that don't have sugar- they can be hard to find. So don't use pedialyte. Antioxidants can be found in strawberries and raspberries.
