Beat the Beetus

Name is Shelby. I am a type 1 diabetic. I have this blog to share my life as a diabetic. Help those that I can. Of any type.Though I will be able to relate to type 1 a lot more. I won't pretend to know something medically if I don't. I won't give straight out medical advice (very limited exceptions) because all of us our different with our bodies. I don't want to risk your life because something works for me. I will ask for advice and give advice. Gain support and give support. It's always nice to have people who can relate to you. <3 Feel free to ask me anything, suggest food and things that help motivate you to take better care of yourself.

I love you all! =D

…..watch a movie. Especially a survival or disaster movie and place yourself and that position and basically go

“I’d be screwed. 3 days without any food or insulin!”

“I doubt anyone would carry my body in coma state across the snowy mountain.”

“My insulin can’t survive that t-shirt.” ……..uhmm i was going to correct that fact that i wrote t-shirt instead of temperature. I think it’s funny and have NO IDEA where t-shirt came from. I shall leave it.

“How could I get insulin during this?!”

Ahhh, it happens. Ha. I recently saw the move The Grey. Great movie. I quite enjoyed it. Wasn’t really a dull moment at all it only got calm for like a minute then something else would happen.

But I kept placing all these diabetes scenarios into scenes. It doesn’t happen all the time but it does happen quite often.
