That would be awesome but I’m about 1,000 miles away from that. I hope it’s a great turn out for you though!
So what can I do with my old insulin pump?
Anything? I know I can’t sell it but I figured there must be something I can do with it.
Are there certain things you always tell the ones you’re closest to about your diabetes.
Best friends, family, or significant others?
I mostly tell symptoms to watch out for because I don’t always notice them. Also basic things I should or shouldn’t do or eat/ shouldn’t eat because I often lie and say nope eating this won’t hurt me.
I’m stubborn and need to be kicked in the butt when it comes to things like that. Luckily the ones that love me have the tendency to have no problem kick me in the ass. Haha.
I hope you are all doing well. Oh, and I missed my endo appointment so going to reschedule for about 2 weeks. We’ll see how all that goes. Nervous mostly because I know for a fact it won’t be as good as last time.

What are some of your favorite no carbs drinks?
Also I was curious as to how diabetes affects those or you who play sports and/or have a very active lifestyle?
I used to do cross country I was in the middle of it when I started getting really sick. I miss running so much everyday. Also running at charity walks instead of just walking. I went into a coma at the end of my last cross country season.
I found out then I was diabetic. I never really got to much back into sports, including dancing as well, because I was scared to. To pass out, get too low and a variety of other things.

OK, it’s funny because
I haven’t had it in 2 1/2 years and i looked for in it my jeans when I took them off today.
I thought “Oh no!, I ripped my site out”
I think I’m going crazy haha.
Thing 1:
When you’re working out and your blood sugar is a perfect number to work out with when you start. You either get a low right after or anytime during your exercise. Oh, it’s just annoying to me.
Seriously, just makes me feel I wasted that complete time I spent working out. Such a contradiction and it’s not even our faults. Bah. I do know protein is the key when it comes to working out but sometimes that doesn’t always work.
Thing 2: I was just chillin at my endo’s to get my prescriptions rewritten and he asked if I wanted free vial of both insulins. Lantus and novolog. Also needles.
Why would I have to answer that. Free insulin and some needles. I mean by all means give me anything I pay money on for free and I’m happy. So when I got back into the waiting room where my friend was I told and they’re also diabetic.
It pretty much went like this:
Yup. Yup.
Well I hope you all are doing fantastic. I’m struggling a bit with my numbers now. It’s mostly all because I keep getting dehydrated. I need my butt kicked for that.

I know that it’s especially hard in high school. I always wanted to just focus on everything else and not my diabetes. About your doctor ask your insurance to give you a list or sometimes they’ll mail/ email local doctors that your insurance plan covers. You can try and find an Endocrinologist that you get along with better and will help you out more. When it comes to a doctor that works with you on something you live day to day with he can’t just be someone who can’t rely. Least in my opinion.
How long have you been diabetic?
Also, are you scared of the side affects of the lows because if you are this is what I always did in highschool:
Snack or two in my locker.
Carry something in your pocket or purse/ what it may be. Something quick to get it up. I do think you should really get more protein in you with your bloods sugars being that low and that often.
If getting low is a constant concern and it keeps happening please go and visit/call your endo and get it sorted out. It’s a dangerous thing and can’t be taken lightly.
I hope things look up for you.

I do not have it. I’m sorry to hear that you have it. About two years ago I was actually considered for having it because I was having a lot of digestive and pain in my small intestine.
Hope it doesn’t hold you back from anything.

Just curious what do you put your used needles in?
Anyone have something different or perhaps even weird they have put their needles in?
One a different note my A1c is going to be higher the last week and a half I have been VERY lazy with my diabetes =(
Hope everyone is doing great!
